My work is primarily functional  - focussing mainly on kitchen and tableware, reflecting a subtle japanese influence.

My aim is for each piece to retain an air of individuality - but maintain its functionality and unique presence.

The glaze recipes use salt and wood ash to give the exteriors of work a soft burnt-like texture and and an earthy, natural and calming finish.  My aim is to create work that can be perfect pieces to use on display as well as for practicality.
